Our Venue

With its distinctive, red-bricked structure, the Pasir Panjang Power Station is a unique heritage venue unlike any other: Completed in 1952/1953, it is credited as one of the nation’s first engines of power before being decommissioned in the 1980s.

Gazetted as part of the Greater Southern Waterfront, the station and its sprawling surroundings are now earmarked for rejuvenation. With its steel pillars and glass panels, it’s a one-of-a-kind space with an alluringly raw, industrial feel and is easily transformable into a range of functional sections of various sizes.

Venture outside the station, you’ll discover that the Pasir Panjang area is an under-the-radar gem. It oozes enchanting serenity with its pockets of nature (Labrador Nature Reserve, HortPark and Mount Faber) and culinary bona fides.

Mount Faber Park:

Standing at 94 metres and covering 56 hectares, Mount Faber Park has something for nature lovers and fitness enthusiasts alike. Access the peak by soaking in the aerial view in the comfort of a cable-car ride from Sentosa or HarbourFront, or get your endorphins flowing by hiking up the steps of the Marang Trail starting from opposite VivoCity.

Henderson Waves:

Reuniting Mount Faber with Telok Blangah Hill is Singapore’s most spectacular pedestrian bridge — the Henderson Waves. With its 274-metre span of seductive undulating waves, Singapore’s tallest pedestrian bridge is jaw-dropping when viewed from ground level – 36 metres below.

Telok Blangah Hill:

Take the Forest Walk, an elevated walkway that zigzags its way amid the canopy of the trees, taking you up close to enjoy some bird-watching. You could also descend one of the numerous staircases along the way to the Earth Trail. Also, look out for the Alkaff Mansion, a colonial bungalow which now houses restaurants and cafes.

Gillman Barracks and The Interlace:

Coming out of the Forest Walk onto Alexandra Road, Gillman Barracks sits to the left. The former British military camp now houses art galleries and resident artists. On the right side is The Interlace. Winner of the 2015 World Building of the Year Award, the condominium resembles shipping containers stacked seemingly in a random fashion.

Alexandra Arch and HortPark:

The other connecting bridge completing the link of the Southern Ridge Trail is yet another structure inspired by nature. Crossing the leaf-like construction of Alexandra Arch will take you to HortPark. the park’s more garden-centric approach with its focus on educational and retail horticultural activities makes it a joyful haven.

Labrador Nature Reserve:

A short walk from HortPark is Labrador MRT station, where one can follow the well-positioned signs to direct you to Labrador Nature Reserve, which serves as a popular exercise and picnic spot as well as a history trail. Enjoy the sea breeze or stroll along the boardwalk to the heart of the reserve, Berlayer Creek.

Haw Par Villa:

In 1937, philanthropist Aw Boon Haw opened this quirky eclectic park of more than 1,000 sculptures and 150 dioramas based on Chinese mythology and folklore. Most striking of which has to be the Ten Gates Of Hell, a gory journey of moralistic judgement dealt out in the afterlife before reincarnation is granted.
